| 12. | Questionnaire on Uniform Civil Code – Extension of time Considering the overwhelming response from the people and other stakeholders, and looking to the continuous inflow of responses; and the requests made by some stakeholders seeking an extension of time for more deliberations, the Law Commission of India is of the opinion that the period for seeking replies on the Questionnaire be extended for 30 days in addition to the period mentioned in the Appeal, dated 7th October 2016. 2. Accordingly, the period is extended for thirty days, i.e. up to 21st December 2016. Uniform Civil Code –regarding Uniform Civil Code is one of the important projects before the Law Commission. The responses/replies received by the Commission are being processed. The response/replies received, if any, after the date may also be considered. |
